Customer Rating: Summary: Just what he wanted. Comment: Was a gift to someone else, they love it and it works great. I liked the look and it looks more rugged than regular ipods and you don't feel it is as fragile.
Customer Rating: Summary: I Love it! Comment: The product comes in two days! The appearance actually looks better than the pictures online. (It's light and cute!) (At least it looks better than I expected). I'm satisfied with the quality of the sound. It's awesome. I like the overall design although the upload software isn't quite user friendly. I think with the price I paid, it's really worth it with adequate expectation. (of course, comparing the price you paid for the ipod to judge this won't be fair.)
Customer Rating: Summary: Exactly what I expected Comment: Well, I received my 4gb pink Mozaic today, and I'm very happy with it :]
I once owned a Creative Zen Vision:M, 30gb, until I lost it in the gym... It was an excellent player with a few quirks (it was somewhat laggy) but quite a brick - I dropped it about 4-5x and yet it still survived.
Well, back to the Mozaic, to break it down,
Pros:
+ The player is small and unobtrusive if you want to put it in your pocket
+ The pink is a nice shade
+ Easy to navigate through the menus
+ I was able to drag and drop music directly into the player's "Music" folder on my computer and play it immediately
+ Although the shell is made of plastic, it is very, very sturdy. I feel that I could drop it several times with minimal damage (not that I'm going to test this out!)
+ The screen is bright and vivid
+ You can save up to 32 radio stations
+ Radio signal itself is alright; just make sure you have your headphones plugged in, as they act as the antenna.
+ The speaker is decent, but not up to audiophile standards (which I'm not). However, it's perfect in a pinch - if you forget your headphones, want to share music with a friend, etc.
Cons:
- I hesitate to call this a con, since the player in itself is quite small, but the buttons are tiny. Then again, we text on cell phone keys that about the same size, so it's easy to adapt to.
- Watching videos requires that you turn the player to the side. Not really a con, but just something to take note of.
I will update later after my player and I get more intimate ;p
Customer Rating: Summary: Adorable!! Comment: Pros: Great sound quality, easy to use, comfortable size, and sturdy. Before I got the Mozaic, I read critizisms that it was not metal, but I have to say, I think that is horse feathers. I guess metal does feel cool (temp. wise), but it is so heavy, that drops and slips literally dent/damage it. I love that the Mozaic is plastic, because if it slips out of my hand, or my cord gets caught, the little light weight guy just hangs out, stress free. Not even a yank on my ear! Also, I think the buttons are very easy to use, definatley not to small. I really like clicking better than my last mp3 player's finger sliding thing. I can slip it in my pocket w/o locking it, and quickly pull it out to adjust volume. I haven't used the speaker much, but when I do I am impressed with the quality. I use the recording function often, and it works well, if within 20 feet of the speaker. Works perfect with Audible. The radio quality is darn good. Finally, I LOVE the shimmery pink.
Cons: The screen, is of course a bonus for a small mp3, and it is not meant to compete with the xfi, zune, or itouch. Don't expect it to. It's like good cell phone screen quality (iphone excluded). Oh, and the included head phones aren't worth beans.
Other Thoughts: I use the Outlook/organizer sync-ing program - very handy. Also, I recomend you check out ZenCasts - I like to download french radio.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great player!!! nice speaker Comment: This player is great and the integrated speaker is very functional, very good battery life; good sound but cheap plastic earphones; not good for videos because the screen is very small and the screen angle does not help.
