Comment: This is an EXTREMELY good laser, highly reccomended shipped to Texas in about 3 buisness days and can pop a balloon from a few inches away in about 30 seconds max it pops red balloons in about 3 seconds!

Comment: I bought this powerful laser pointer because i knew someone who had one and was able to examine it beforehand.
It's a nice piece of hardware, though i noted slightly disappointing aspects as compared with the same model i'd previously examined.
When projecting the laser on a surface, there's some light leakage around the main bright center of the laser, as if some light were refracting through a dirty lens. Also, compared to the one i had seen, the on/off button on mine has far more play in it. It can move freely in and out about 3/4 mm where the one i examined was snug and couldn't rattle.
Be aware it can eat through a set of AAA batteries pretty quickly and the rubberized surface over the aluminum is fragile. I scratched a small portion off near the on/off button without even being aware i had done so or how.

Comment: This laser pointer is appropriate for outdoor use. As far as I am concerned the people who were trying to use them indoors for presentations were lucky they got defective units.
I have purchased several green lasers directly from Hong Kong. These overpowered inexpensive lasers are always a risky proposition. So far one out of three from Hong Kong has been a dud. If you get one that is bright and works for more than a couple minutes at a time without over-heating and going dim, you are lucky. The one I received from Amazon is a good one. I also had the knowledge that this was a domestic seller who would take it back if it was defective.
I don't know if the laser is actually puting out 50mw. But it is pretty darned bright! I can see the dot up to half a mile away during the day. In dim conditions or indoors even the beam is very visible. This pointer is definately bright enough to be dangerous; be very careful especially around reflective surfaces! It is much too bright to use for an indoor presentation, but works well outdoors.

Comment: i bought it from amazon like a week ago and i just got it a few hours ago. put the batteries in and played with it for 2 or 3 minutes. and its already not working because the button is all weird.
