Designed to make life simpler and better for all, this remote is especially helpful for the blind and those with low vision. The visually impaired will love the convenience of it's large, clearly labelled lighted buttons. This remote works the television only. Only 6 buttons operate all television functions. Buttons have different sizes and shapes for ease of identification and use. The ON-OFF button is circular with a diameter of more than 3/4 of an inch. The MUTE button is a 3/4 inch square. The VOLUME UP, VOLUME DOWN, CHANNEL UP and CHANNEL DOWN buttons are triangles measuring 1 inch on each side. Ergonomically shaped remote tapers off at rounded bottom for comfortable feel in your hand. 5.5 long by 2.75 wide by 1 inch thick. Uses 2 AA batteries (not included.) Warranty: 1 year. Comment: This is one of the best remotes on the market for anyone who suffers from arthritic hands or poor vision. I bought this remote for my mother who suffers from moderate Alzheimer's and numbness in her hands. When you press any of the 6 buttons they light up which makes using the remote easier. The only draw back is not having the ability to select a particular channel without a numbered keypad; but that would take away from the simplicity of the remote. It is worth every penny of the low price and it is VERY easy to code with any TV set. I highly recommend this remote.

Comment: The Tek Pal TV remote control is a great device for senior citizens who have trouble with the large universal remotes with many tiny buttons.The Tek Pal has large buttons for On/Off,Volume and channel up/down and mute .It is simple and much easier to use.This remote is for a TV connected to a cable line without a cable box. I highly recommend it for an elderly person.
