Comment: Although this CD I don't listened to as much as his last. I must say it's still wonderful to have in your collection.

Summary: LYFE HAS MATURED AND DONE SOME OF HIS BEST WORK
Comment: I love Lyfe Jennings and have purchased all of his albums, I love this CD and have listened to it constantly since purchasing it. It is clear that Lyfe has matured and this album shows he has evolved and his development as an artist. I loved his first two albums because he was still raw and growing, but this one really shows how much he has grown as a man and an artist. "30 is not the new 20, it's the same ol 30"...
It's hard to pick a favorite cut from this CD, but I would have to say that "cops up", "never never land"{ as my girlfriend said who else could put Peter Pan in a song like this...}, and "old school" {I got this old school the color of soul food, candy yam racing stripes, pipes potato white, cornbread interior trimmed in collard greens, air freshner smell like chicken and pork and beans} are ones that stay in my head long after I finish listening to the CD.
More than anything, I am soooo pleased that Lyfe doesn't talk between all the songs like "Phoenix", and this album does not disappoint! I also have several friends who are Lyfe Lovers like myself and they also say nothing but GREAT things about this album.

Summary: Lyfe is back
Comment: After his sort of "sophmore slump", probably mainly due to the numerous skits on his last CD, Lyfe Jennings is back with another bangin' CD. Not as good as his first (Lyfe 268-192), which stays untouchable, but most definately worth the wait. You can find great slow- and midtempo tracks such as "Midnight Train", "Keep On Dreaming" and "Never Never Land". But there is also radio friendly material, such as the T.I. supported "Brand New", the T-Pain sound-alike "Cops Up" and a great Wyclef track "You Think You've Got It Bad". Lyfe did a great Job and I am happy that he is back on track. Support Lyfe, since he is one of the last true R&B stars in the game.

Summary: Lyfe Change is a 'Solid' Album
Comment: After listening to the samples on amazon, I knew I had to purchase this album; and to be frank I am glad I did. Especially after hearing 'Cops Up', I knew that this album would have a lot of potentially good R&B/Soulful songs [which the industry seems to be lacking in].
To be honest, I would put Lyfe in the same category as Lupe Fiasco, in terms of the most talented under-rated artists of their genres. I have been waiting for a really 'feel' good R&B album to come out for quite some time.
On this particular album, I feel every single song on there fits well; as in there are no songs that go off the topic. It's actually really hard to choose my favorites right now, as I have only had a few listens, and I'll proabably keep changing my mind, but here goes;
1. Keep on Dreaming
2. Cops Up
3. Its Real
4. Hmmm
5. Brand New
Overall, I think this is a solid album, and I don't think anyone is going to top this any time soon.

Summary: Lyfe Change - Lyfe Jennings review
Comment: Good first time out project for this artist. Distinct voice that doesn't copy from/sound like everybody else in his field. Enjoying listening to his project. Received it during the timeframe indicated with no damage done to it during transport. Enjoyed purchasing with Amazon for it is truly hassle free. Will continue to do business with Amazon in the future.
