Summary: not worth the money!
Comment: I am someone that is knowledeable about working out...what works and what doesn't. I am a newly single mom and still had the left over "baby fat". Since I am extremely busy, I thought this might save some time on doing regular ab routines. I was wrong! I put it on the highest settings and it still didn't compare at all to the kind of workout you get from a good ab routine...no burning or soreness the next day.

Summary: A definite improvement over previous model
Comment: I reviewed the previous Slendertone belt, and indicated there that I was going to try this one out. I am glad I did. The programming and intensity range of controls is vastly improved, and the recharge-ability of the device is a true plus. I have been using the unit for approximately three weeks, and it has definitely helped me to restart an exercise program after several months off due to illness. Because the controls are much less bulky, the unit is easier to wear under clothing, and much easier to exercise with while wearing. I am not quite sure why one of the reviewers is so negative on this device. Right now, I am using it an intensity of "40," and i clearly get quite an involuntary muscular workout from it. My wife has commented that she can see the involuntary reactions while the muscle stimulation is working. Granted, I lost a lot of wight while ill, and at 6'3" and 162 pounds, the belt doesn't have to reach "far" in order to stimulate my abs.
I would knock off a half star because of the proprietary connector between the recharger plug and the controller. I recently went on a trip, and I left the wall plug at my hotel. Fortunately, the battery lasted for several days after recharging, and so I had no problem waiting for the hotel to ship the plug back to me. But if I had lost it for sure, I would have been SOL. I contacted Slendertone customer support, and a week later, they still have not responded to my request for a replacement plug.

Summary: Not a gimmic
Comment: i am 18 and i am a student at western carolina university, and i go to the gym everyday but i dont have a 6 pack,i only have the 2 abs on my upper stomach, so i figured i would buy this and see if it could help me out. i just recieved it today. i put it on for 40 minutes and i started it on level 55. i could tell instantly that it was working. my abs are sore right now sitting at the desk. also my roommate tryed it and he wants to buy one. but only time will tell if i get a 6pack. BUT YOU CANT EXPECT TO BUY THIS AND GET A 6PAK if u eat mcdonalds everyday. This product will strengthn and tone your abs, but you have too burn that layer of fat off on top of your abs to tell. ill post another review in a couple weeks. if u have any questions email me at browning114@yahoo.com

Summary: Totally Useless Device!
Comment: This is not strength training! It's just too weak to cause any change in abdominal musculature.
The only way anyone can give this thing a positive review, is by not testing it at the maximum intensity level in order to find out just how weak it is. Don't buy it if you expect a six-pack.

Comment: So far it was worth my money. It's easy to use and you can really feel it working. I've only been using it about two weeks but I've already lost 5 pounds and people have been asking if I've lost weight. It doesnt take much dedication so that's a plus as well.
