The perfect skates for the entry-level skater, the Marlee junior skates offer unsurpassed support, an easy fit, and superb comfort. They also sport a stylish cherry/mauve coloring with scrolling floral accents along the frame. The Marlee boasts an easy-pull lace system with a locking buckle and pushbutton adjustment, so it's simple to fine-tune the frame to fit different-sized feet.

K2's attention to detail extends from the skate's construction to stylish accents on the frame and wheels. |
The composite material, meanwhile, holds up to frequent use, so you needn't worry about the skates falling apart after just a few months. Add in an attached brake and smooth 76 mm wheels with ABEC 3 bearings and you have a great pair of skates for the budding skating freak in your family. The skates come in three sizes--small (J13-3), medium (3-6), and large (4-8)--and carry a one-year warranty. In 1994, K2 introduced the world's first Softboot skate, forever changing the way performance skates are designed and built. The proprietary Softboot design allows K2 to design skates the same way all high end athletic footwear is designed. K2's Softboot designs incorporate breathable, comfortable, and flexible materials that fit and function like a second skin while substantially reducing overall weight.
About K2
In February of 1961 the first pair of fiberglass skis was produced by brothers Bill and Don Kirschner in their Vashon Island, Washington shop. The Kirschners, avid skiers, built fiberglass animal cages for medical use and were convinced that their process could build a ski that was lighter, stronger, and more lively than the wood and metal skis of the day. They really just wanted to build some cool skis for themselves and their friends. And the rest, as they say, is history. Much has changed since those early days on sleepy Vashon Island, but one thing has not: K2 is still a bunch of adrenaline junkies who just want to make some cool stuff for themselves and their friends.
