Customer Rating: Summary: Works as advertised Comment: I have no complaints with these phones. The display is very good, the sound quality and reception are also very good. A nice set of features make them versatile enough. They do not speak the caller ID like some of the panasonic phones on the market, but I find that annoying anyway.
Customer Rating: Summary: Very happy with purchase Comment: This phone was purchased to replace a Siemens 2.4 GHz phone system - we were looking for two principal improvements, which we received:
1. We wanted to eliminate interference with our wireless network - the DECT standard accomplished this by moving out of the 2.4 GHz band.
2. We wanted additional range to better cover remote areas of the house, which this phone provided.
We've found the other features of the phone easy to live with -- storing and recalling address book entries, a well-integrated answering system (which, contrary to another review, does provide notification on each remote screen when a new message has come in), and a headset jack. We're quite happy with sound quality and the speakerphone feature.
If we had to choose again, we'd likely make the same choice.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good phone system Comment: I've had this phone about a month.Bought 1 additional phone.Sound is clear, speaker phone very handy, and works well. Menus are easy to navigate.I would recomend this phone.
Customer Rating: Summary: so far, so good Comment: I was tired of the cheap looking silver-finish phones, so this Panasonic, a brand I trust, appealed to me. It is attractive, but I was surprised to discover how incredibly lightweight, i.e. insubstantial, it is. The handsets are also tiny, so they cannot be crooked in your shoulder to talk one handed. They do fit nicely in a pocket though. I am not a feature person, but this phone is remarakably intuitive with excellent menus. Sound quality is very good. My only real gripe is that I don't find the range to be that great. Still, I would recommend it.
Customer Rating: Summary: Volume Issue Makes This Phone Not Worth It Comment: I saw in a few reviews before I purchased this phone about the volume issues with this phone. But I figured this wouldn't be a problem because I'm young and have excellent hearing. WRONG! The speaker volume has 4 levels, and the highest is still softer than the low volume on my old phone. And the design of this phone, skinny at top and fat at bottom, makes it hard to hold against your face to talk. I have to hold the phone upside down and smash it against my ear to hear anything.
If you use your home phone a lot, don't even think about buying this phone. I've had this phone about 6 months, and would have trashed it long ago, but I rarely use it, so I can live with it.
This phone would get 5 stars if it weren't for the volume/design issues. If Panasonic fixes these issues, I'll gladly trade it in for a new model, even if I have to spend the money again. Panasonic, are you listening???
