However, the thermometer I got was about .2 degrees off (readings would be .2 degrees higher than other digital thermometers and also the one at my Doctor's office.) It just quit working after about three months of almost-daily use. I thought the battery had gone dead, so I replaced it but thermometer still didn't work. BD's customer service did not only act like they didn't care, they offered absolutely no help. I wouldn't buy again. Customer Rating: Summary: Good Thermometer Comment: The thermometer is useful. It is way faster and more accurate - and I have no problems now. I like the bright backlight and the "beeps." Only thing is, the beeps may be loud enough to disturb a sleeping spouse. Just something to keep in mind if your husband is a light sleeper! I also wish the backlight would stay on while the thermometer is taking your temperature.
