Summary: Oh Boy...
Comment: I thought I was moderately smart until I received this game for Christmas. Yeow! Oh well, the sting of humiliation is tempered by the sheer fun Brain Challenge provides. Of the several games I received (including Brain Age 2) for Christmas, this is my favorite. Can't recommend it enough. However, if your ego is weak, or your self-image not strong, I'd think twice before purchasing it, because these tests tend to quash any illusions of intelligence you may harbor.

Of course, on the flip side, it's fun to watch your percentage scores rise as you become more proficient at the mini-games, and the daily tests of intelligence and stress. You're only truly stupid if you can't improve, right? RIGHT? Ha ha...

So, I would recommend this game highly to all. If you have a sense of humor, and a desire to improve your brain functions, you'll enjoy it!

Summary: Everyone keeps stealing my DS to play this game!
Comment: I am 47 and just bought a DS for myself for long trips and dr. waiting rooms. Had NO idea I would have to wrestle MY DS away from my in laws, nephews, uncles and husband since they found out how fun this game is. Very addictive, Fun games and even though they look EASY - holy cow when you are graded on how fast you complete them - these games can be HARD.

Funnest part - last night at 3am I turned it on since I couldn't sleep and it actually told me to go to bed since it was the middle of the night and asked me if I was ok? Wow.

Summary: Great game - variety & Challenge
Comment: I have several games for the DS which I enjoy, including Brain Age 2. I am an older player not into video games (except for Myst) and use the DS games as a sort of mental gym workout. This game is the best I have used. There is plenty of variety and challenge....

Summary: I love this game!!!
Comment: This is my first game like this, but I love it. I'm pretty addicted to it. I got it as an Arcade game on Xbox Live. I am currently at around 64% and the difficulty increases in such a way that the games are just as tough, even as you get better at them. I can't say if all of the games helped me, but I was dreading the Math portions in the beginning and now I find myself able to calculate simple numbers a lot faster than before... which obviously has real-world application. I definitely love this game and recommend it. The coaches don't make any noise sometimes when they are talking. You just see the words. That is not enough of a problem to dock this game any stars. You even learn cool facts along the way!

Summary: Some glitches and moody coaches...
Comment: I've owned Brain Challenge for a couple of weeks, and I do enjoy the games, especially the daily brain and stress tests. However, the game does make mistakes occasionally (for example 3x3... you write 9 and it marks it wrong and says 32) which can be frustrating, especially since the coaches cop an attitude if you don't maintain good scores. There are also mistakes in the format of the coaches' brain questions... she'll ask you something that she's never asked you before, and then she gets mad when you get it wrong. I think the creators of this game may have been a little [...] because my coach will say things like "This is not a very good score", and if you get a question wrong, "Have you been listening to anything I said?" She scares me a little more than my TA in Biology, and I can only hope that when a new Brain Age comes out it will be on mood stabilizers. I don't need a DS game to judge me.
