Summary: Review of Digestive Advantage Chron's & Colitis Probiotics
Comment: Overall Id have to say that this product works better than my Asacol at a fraction of the price. :) I have however had to work with it taking it at different times and intervals to get better effects. And you know how Chrons and Colitis are, it's different for ever person with the disease, so you may have to work with this probiotic over a period of time to get the results you NEED. By this I mean. For me any way, I cant just take it at any ole time. I have to get up and take it at least 30 min to an hour before I eat on an empty stomach and let it get in there, break down and do it's business. Then the same thing again in the evening before dinner. Yeap, I have to take it twice a day. But it is still alot easier than taking CHEMICALS in the form of 12 tablets a day, all throughout the day, and is CHEAPER! When I began taking this about 6 weeks ago (I have horrible colitis) I would go to the restroom and it would be nothing but blood, and I'd be constipated. I'd fill the toilet with blood only and be in so much pain because nothing would pass hardly(sorry for the visual - but people with this disease need to know what stage I was at, so they know what they can expect). After a few days I could actually pass somewhat of a normal stool. Whereas with just Asacol all day every day for weeks I was still in bad shape. My extra intestinal issues are disapating. I had migranes, 100% gone. I had chronic fatigue, 80% gone. Joint pains, 90% gone. Nausea, 100% gone. Skin eruptions such as Psoriasis, 70% gone. Ringing in the ears, 100% gone. Metalic taste in the mouth, 100% gone. Vertigo, 100% gone. So I'm MUCH better than I was, when I was just on Asacol. I previously could barely function. I don't give it a 5 because I do still have some bleeding, mucus, and urgency, and am not in remission. Maybe a few more months. I do however feel it is more than worth buying if your Rx isnt working, or you cant afford your Rx. This does help and make life possible to live and enjoy. I do still have some urgency to get to the restroom, but pretty much only just right after I eat. And not at sporatic times. So you can function with no surprises. But it took some time with me tweaking my timing on taking the probiotics and with what or nothing at all. So you may need to do that for yourself too and give it 2 or 3 weeks before expecting to see results. Best of luck to you all suffering with this horrible disease!

Comment: this is a great product. I have celiac disease and lymphocytic colitis. The first week I took one pill, then as recommended, took two and am now back to one a day and think it is really helping.

Summary: Crohn's & Colitis Digestive Advantage Therapy
Comment: I found this product on the shelf of a local drug store. I had been using a much more expensive prescription medication to treat my ulcerative colitis. I have found that the Digestive Advantage therapy is more effective in the treatment of my disease at a fraction of the cost of the prescription medication. I would recommend that anyone who suffers from colitis or crohn's disease try this product.
