Right out of the package, clip a YakclipTM onto your kayak cockpit. Clip in your paddle, get in, and you're ready to go. You can clip the YakclipTM anywhere. Placing the YakclipTM in front when getting in and out of your kayak will leave both hands free to stabilize your entry or exit. Use the YakclipTM to hold your paddle while you have a drink. Move the YakclipTM with your paddle out of the way to the side of the cockpit to reel in that big fish!

Summary: Great kayak accessory!
Comment: I purchased 2 of these for my kayaks. It fit better on my "Perception Avatar" than the "Perception Shadow Sealion". It would not sit upright on the "Shadow" because the rim of the cockpit was a different configuration. It faced forwards. This did not prevent it from working, but the paddle did sit forwards instead of on top.
Another thing to keep in mind is that you cannot use these clips if you use a spray skirt. You have to choose one or the other.
Having said all that, it's still a good accessory to have while kayaking. It does what it claims. Its easy to install. It only takes an instant to attach the paddle, so that both hands can be freed up to do something else.

Comment: I have not yet used this product, so I cannot rate it's performance. I would like to comment on the price and shipping and handling charges. It sells for $9.95. It's made of plastic and weighs approx. 1 oz. $9.95 seems high but if it works, then it's worth it. Shipping and handling is $4.15. It was shipped 1st class mail, for $1.35. I would not make this purchase again. I feel that $2.80 for handling is excessive.

Summary: Quick paddle clip for your kayak, no drilling
Comment: This Yak Clip is a handy way to instantly add a paddle holder onto any kayak...even a rental. This is very handy for kayak photography, where you need to quickly set down your paddle and pick up your camera.
Since it doesn't use rivets or glue... you can snap it on or off of a kayak instantly and carry it home in your pocket. A very cheap, simple and handy item for any kayaker.
Also, I spoke to the vendor on an issue with another product. These folks provide excellent, personal and effective customer service!
