While a bit thin, perhaps, compared to a typical full-sugar syrup, it has no artificial swetener taste to it that some low/no calorie product substitutes have. Besides using it on pancakes, waffles and the like, I've started using it on cereals and other things that I would normally sprinkle sugar on.
