A long jointed handle allows you to work the stainless steel mechanism from the top of your boots. Three plugs can be inserted into the foot piece for relief of pressure points. With the holes and plugs, custom fit a shoe just right. We debated spending so much more for the boot version, rather than the shoe. The long handle really does make a difference in ease of use, inserting the form into the boot.
