Summary: My favorite
Comment: This is my favorite mascara. I have used it since it was created. Unfortunately, it's hard for me to find someone to sell it in my area so I keep trying other brands in between. So much better than Great Lash. The trick is to apply several layers to get thick lashes. Put on 1st layer and move to your other eye to let it dry, then go back and repeat until thick. Great lash you can just keep going over same lashes for thickness, but Avon doesn't work that way.
Pros-doesn't flake off, regular soap removes it completely without leaving raccoon eyes after shower, never clumps.

Summary: Waterproof? NOT!!!
Comment: The "waterproof" designation is a joke. This mascara starts "melting" off my lashes, causing my eyes to burn, within an hour or two. (I have no allergies to makeup.) It also flakes off like crazy, leaving little black pieces on the cheeks. Gives no fullness at all, unless you apply it 2-3 times, which makes it flake even worse. Goes on very wet and thin. Avon USED to make great waterproof mascaras, but they've all mysteriously disappeared from their product line in the last 6-9 months, which makes me exceedingly disappointed and frustrated.

Comment: This is the first mascara I have ever worn(nope never worn any kind before) and I have to say I am kinda disappointed. It does stay on so that is a good thing, Im not sure about the crying part yet and it does come off when I wash my face so that is good as well. However it doesnt do much for my eyes. I wanted my lashes to be darker and fuller so my eyes would pop more but this stuff is not that dark and I bought black. However if youre just going out to run errands or something small then you could put some of this on for a small enhancement but going out on a date or with friends or to look super sexy? No way.

Summary: Where is the black-brown?
Comment: Have been using this product for years, and very satisfied as it does just what it claims - lasts all day without streaking, even at a teary movie. But, washes off easily in the shower or with soap and water. Just so very disappointed that I can't get the black-brown (or any other color) any more. I'll keep buying it but hoping another color will become available (hint, hint).

Summary: Well, the wash-off part works well...the rest, not so much
Comment: I keep being tempted by Avon's mascaras given that they are so affordable, but unfortunately, I keep being disappointed. This waterproof mascara claims to be washable with soap and water only, no special remover needed as with other waterproof mascaras. In this respect, I found the product to work well--it stayed on my lashes all day, and when I washed my face at night, it easily washed away without leaving black splotches under my eyes.
Unfortunately, in other respects, this product did not perform nearly as well. The brush is quite standard, which I found surprising given all of the more functional designs available these days. One good thing was that the brush did not soak up too much product as some tend to do, so the mascara went on without clumps. However, not only did it not clump, but also it was barely noticeable! I have small eyes to begin with, so I need a mascara that really makes my lashes fuller and longer to open them up, and this mascara did neither. It went on rather wet and darkened my lashes slightly, but it didn't really do much in the way of adding either fullness or length. Applying several coats (letting each coat dry in-between) helped a little, but I found this to be a bit of a hassle.
Overall, this mascara might work well for someone who already has nice lashes and is just looking to enhance them slightly while retaining a very natural look. For ladies like me who need a bit more help, however, there are definitely better products available than this one.
