Summary: works like a charm
Comment: When I bought this product the strainer came broken...so I figured a little epoxy and i'll be on my way..that didn't hold, so i decided to call the company directly ITT RULE...they sent me one right away via UPS, they paid the shipping..no questions asked...

As for the merchant from Amazon.com....fast, relaible..no problems...I choose not to bother with the broken part via Amazon, because I was not prepared to hear that it came from a third party..and then...and then...

either way great pump...get a 1 1/2 inch hull fittingand hose for this badboy.

Comment: This is a great product. I have one in my boat, and decided to add another, just for backup. A quality product from the good old USA.

Summary: RULE 500 Bilge Pump, an old standby
Comment: I've been a striper guide and focus primarily on live bait. My bait tanks have been running for weeks at a time on many occasions. These pumps will last up to 2 years under HEAVY HEAVY use which is amazing. Amazon has the best deal on the web that I have found. Always keep a spare on the boat! seeinstripes.com

Summary: Bilge pump for fountains
Comment: We use this pump as a safe feature for several water fountains in our patio and gardens. Running 12 vdc to these is much safer than using typical 110 vac fountain pumps. And they last about a year running 10 hours a day, sometimes running dry. By hooking them up to a variable-voltage power supply from Radio Shack, we can vary the flow to get exactly what we want. Yes, I wish they lasted longer but they are cheap and as long as you hook them up in a way that is easy to replace, they are worth the one hour a year to replace them. Good product.
