Customer Rating: Summary: Great hat Comment: This is a wonderful hat for my 16 month old son. I think the key is that it's lightweight and fits well, in addition to providing lots of coverage...enough to shade his neck and keep the sun out of his eyes. A lot of other hats are not adjustable as this. Since it is not hot on his head, fits so well, and an elastic strap isn't necessary to keep it on, and it's very comfortable for my little one, who normally takes off other hats and tosses them as far away as possible. We had no trouble all day at the beach with this protection hat, and lots of sunscreen. Customer Rating: Summary: Good but room for improvement Comment: I bought this hat recently on a safari in South Africa. Though it did offer very good sun protection and didn't slip over my daughter's eyes the way most hats do, the velco/elastic band (which is to tighten around the circumference of the baby's head) didn't keep the hat on well enough. She just grabs the hat and throws it off with no trouble, or when a gust of wind came, it just blew the hat right off of her head. Also, if you do buy this hat please note it is to be hand washed! I through it in the washer and it looks awful now. My fault though.
