Summary: Gorgeous & deadly!
Comment: This fan is so beautiful. It's lighter than I expected and easy to use. I have practiced tai chi fan with it many times, and it never fails to fascinate me. In the hands of a master, this fan could charm and kill.

Summary: Very durable and feels definitely like a fighting fan
Comment: I bought the black color style.

There wasn't really anything nearby I could compare the described weight to, but this fan is definitely quite firm in the hand. The popping noise it makes is the same for many other tai chi/taiji plastic fans out there, only this is definitely more durable (obviously).

The fabric at the end was a bit frayed and i was able to start pulling off some of teh thread. Best fix to this is to use an iron (the kind you use to smooth out wrinkles on clothing) and lightly touch the ends to melt the fabric together. Be careful though, as too much will actually shrink the fabric and screw up the fan.

I like the weight and the feel of this item, but it requires a bit more dexterity than usual.
