Summary: Works wonderful!
Comment: Great antenna. Hooked up to my mirror bracket on the truck with ease. Best reception I ever had. My only concern is I hope the plastic housing holds up through the winter and washings.

Summary: Great Buy
Comment: I drive a tractor-trailer and this antenna works perfect. The antenna came with all of the attachments you would need for large or small truck mirrows and the installation was very easy.

Summary: Great Home Antenna
Comment: I purchased this Sirius antenna to mount outside on my house. It provides much better reception (no signal drop-out) than the small "hockey-puck" antennas. The mounting bracket and hardware made attachment along the roof-line easy. Its profile (on a short mast) keeps it above the roof and free from being covered with snow. I wish the cable was about 5 feet longer, but extension cables can be acquired. A great performing antenna for home, truck, or RV.

Summary: Bigger IS better..
Comment: My husband drives a truck for a living and SURVIVES with his music every day.. 14+ hours a day. His normal satellite antenna 'worked', but he would lose reception in certain areas along the way, or worse, would constantly pick up other satellite radios as they pass him ~ having constant interruption. As much as he listens to it and travels, he needed something to make his signal stronger and THIS did the trick. I highly recommend it, especially for OTR Truck Drivers.

Summary: Good product
Comment: Installs easily to mirror bracket, even thicker pod mirror types. Also includes hardware to mount to 'wings' using a clamping piece with rubber feet. It appears that it would also work with any standard CB antenna bracket, though I haven't tried it.

Replaceable wire is a step up from the magnetic pucks, where you have to replace the entire unit if the wire is damaged. Easier to install when the wire is separate. The included wire is also more substantial than the super thin wires on the magnetic antenna.

Smaller magnetic antenna on the roof can have dropouts due to a 'sundial' effect when you are driving in certain directions, this moves the antenna away from the truck so you get an uninterrupted view of the satellite.

I broke my original magnetic roof mount by accident, not enough slack in the wire opening the door. Replaced with the low-profile unit which started going bad after ~6 months. Having both installed and being able to swap antenna plugs at the radio unit with the signal strength indicator showing, the difference was significant, 6/10 bars on low profile and 10/10 with truck antenna. Terrestrial repeater reception was also much improved.

Highly recommended.
