An austrian surf film!

Summary: Very Slow
Comment: I don't know what the other reviewers saw that I missed. This was a super slow, super disappointing movie. It's frustrating enough when I'm getting shut out in Baja. But watching other guys get shut out in Baja? One California Day, Surfing for Life, September Sessions, Mavericks - each of these is about a thousand times better. This movie shows surfers sitting around talking in trite cliches about their philosophies of life. I loved In Search of Captain Zero, but in leading me to buy this disc it led me astray.

Summary: Zen & Zero
Comment: One of the thing that makes surfing exiting it's the trip itself to your favorite spot. This movie explores that part of surfing with very real and raw situations. It makes you dream and plan similar trips. The film captures very good surf spots combine with real daily adventures. The surfers are not very good but that makes the film more real. The story flows very well and the editing is great. Very interesting photography combining high quality video with 8mm film. Very cool movie and narrator.

Summary: Good Premise, but I expected more
Comment: I think this was a good idea and it was somewhat entertaining. For such a long trip over 6000 miles, there was a lot cut out. This could have been better. If you are curious about surfing and just picking up and travelling, this is something to watch if you want to kill 90 minutes.

Summary: Very Strange - But I Liked It
Comment: Bit of strange one. Couple of Austrian guys buy a couple of trucks and head into the wilds of South America looking for surf and also to find the author of Searching For Captain Zero who had gone to the same area years before and decided to stay. Features some great waves, a bit of comedy relief and a pretty good story-line.

Summary: The Surf Trip guide
Comment: A creative surf movie, unlike any you have seen. No surf stars, no radical moves, only ordinary surfers (like me and many others) enjoying the surf trip of their lives.
