Run and charge 115V equipment in your vehicle with Wagan's DC to AC inverter. Providing a sustained 175 watts through 2 outlets, it can power your laptop, a compact TV, a 12" fan, even a small refridgerator. You can use it with your engine off, and it will automatically shutdown if your battery's voltage drops to 10V.

Customer Rating: Summary: Useless if it doesn't stay plugged in Comment: Got this because it was a 3 way splitter that didn't have long cables and I thought the battery checker would be a nice feature. However it constantly pops out or falls out of the outlet with nothing plugged into it. Never stays in once you start plugging devices to it. Makes the whole unit useless if you have to hold it in with one hand while driving.
I tried it on the back outlet in my car just to see if I could use it there for trips, but it doesn't stay in there either. I tried it on a couple of my friend's cars to see if they could use it, but same problem, it keeps falling out very easily...so I can't even give this thing away.
Also the plug part is pretty long, so it sticks out quite a bit.
Skip this and get something else.
Customer Rating: Summary: the lights are nearly worthless Comment: here's how it works: when the car's running with no load i get the FULL light, when i turn the car off it goes to MID, and as i run my battery down to where it won't start my car anymore, the light stays only at MID, with no other indication. sure, the LOW will light if you wait longer, but then you're in battery replacement, not mere jump start, territory.
got this model (over one with USB ports but no power metering) to tell me when i was drifting down to the "can't start" range. not once has it helped me in that regard, though it has been fun continually pushing the unit back into the socket since it tends to get weighed down and ease out while driving. moving to a model with no lights and a remote, cabled housing.
