Summary: Excellent sound, symmetrical length cables can be a problem
Comment: At first I thought there was too much bass but then after a couple of days got used to it. I then compared this against some of my other pairs (Sennheiser mx450, Razer m100) and these win. They don't match up to full-sized headphones, but for an in-ear sound-isolating pair, these are wonderful.
I haven't tested these against the pricey Shure set but i do know that Cnet put these and the Shures in their top 5 sound isolating headphones, so for the price, these are a steal!
I hate asymmetrical length cables, that is, where one ear has a longer cable than the other. So I was happy when I found that the cable lengths are equal on this pair. Until I started walking around with these and realized that due to the lengths being the same, the "THWOK! THWOK!" effect is a lot worse on these, that is, as you walk and the cable bounces against you, it travels up to the ear and boy do you hear it! You can get pretty used to the sound after a while but it is a bit worse on this pair compared to others and I'm guessing it is because of the symmetrical cable design.

Summary: Great sound quality, poor durability
Comment: These are great sound quality earbuds, but my first pair lasted 3 months, and my second pair only one month. I've sent both back to v-moda for warranty replacement. The wire at the ipod port connection is thin and not durable enough. Both times only sound will only come out of one speaker until you wiggle the wire. The port needs to be reinforced for better durability and repeat customers.

Summary: INCREDIBLE EARBUDS FOR ANY PORTABLE PLAYER (INCLUDING IPHONE)
Comment: I just bought these earphones from amazon, basically because y read many good things about them.
I know rewievs are subjective and in this case they depend on music taste and music knowledge, but in this case, they were surprisingly accurate with what I experienced when I first tried this earbuds.
I paid 29,99 for these, so I wasnt expecting TOO MUCH... I was wrong.
They sound AWESOME!!
I am using them now with my Iphone, and i couldnt be happier.
The sound is big. And when I say big... I mean BIG! A little too much bass, but thats easy to fix, setting the iphones eq in "bass reducer" or "treble booster" mode The sound is not balanced, so you have to compensate the treble. I must say I love listening to a nice punchy groove, but this lows are incredible loud and accurate, so i decided to turn them a little bit down.
Noise isolation is also very good. Working out in the gym, I realized I was standing right in front of a large speaker, and i wondered if it was turned off, because i couldnt hear anything...so I came closer... and nothing, until I decided to take off one of my earbuds, and I couldnt believe it was actually sounding pretty loud! With my earbuds and some music in it, i couldnt hear a large speaker 5 inches from my ear!!
The most important thing for me is that they fit in the Iphone. Its not a perfect fit, I must say. You have to press it a little bit hard to get it in, but once in... you will experience a much much MUCH better sound experience than with the crappy Iphone earphones.
Thank god I followed my instincts and bought this incredible earphones.
