Customer Rating: Summary: Very nice stand Comment: I purchased two of these stands and they went together easily and I had no problem attaching the two different size monitors I purchased them for. Once the vertical weight adjustment was made the movement was smooth and took little effort and stayed where it was put. The fact that the base swiveled was an unexpected plus.
The only down side is the lower end of the vertical movement. I had wanted it would be lower.
Customer Rating: Summary: Probably a 4.5! Comment: Neoflex LCD Stand, Black works just like it claims. We has lost the stand for an HP Desktop Monitor and this stand came and voila! Problem fixed. Solid, attractive to the eyes, what else can anyone ask for? It does the job. 4.5 Stars!
Customer Rating: Summary: NeoFlex Comment: I purchased this for use with the Samsung SyncMaster 2253BW 22" monitor. Once received It was very simple and easy to install and I was able to start playing with the stand. It easily holds the monitor and the height and rotation adjustment are fairly easy. I have it locked down pretty tight so the adjustments do not slip as time goes on but they are easy enough for my kids to lower and me to raise back up during use.
The twist action is nice and it does blend nice with the Sammy scheme. It does feel/look like the monitor will not be supported well since it is so small but it is very well balanced. The monitor I have is within the recommendations for weight but not size.
Great price also. Just wish the monitor would have come with this type of stand standard.
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent replacement for stock stand Comment: This is an excellent monitor stand-- I bought two. I replaced both the OEM stands that came with my two LCD monitors.
One was an HP w2007, a very good 20" widescreen that I use for my main monitor. The second one was for an Acer X163W 17" widescreen that is my secondary monitor.
Either stand easily raises the monitors to the correct viewing height, no need for books or other spacers (as was required with the OEM stands).
I had intended in keeping the HP as normal landscape mode, and the Acer as portrait mode all the time-- but when I got these stands, I discovered just how easy it is to rotate the monitors 90 degrees back and forth.
Thus, while I do primarily keep the Acer at portrait mode, I find I routinely rotate the HP between portrait and landscape modes. With Windows XP, it's a simple matter to use Ctrl-Alt-Arrow to change the monitor's rotation. Ctrl-Alt-Right Arrow rotates the screen into portrait, and Ctrl-Alt-Up Arrow rotates it back to "normal" mode.
I find surfing the web in portrait (long dimension is up-and-down) mode much more satisfying than previously-- so much more page content is visible that way.
Highly recommended.
I did not give 5 stars, because the instructions were poorly printed and confusing. That being said, the stands were a snap to install-- I used the thumbscrews for both monitors. Adjusting the tension of the height spring for the Acer was a bit finicky (the Acer is very light), but I eventually got it to work (many turns of the screwdriver later).
Now either monitor raises and lowers with a touch of the finger, and rotates from portrait to landscape with ease.
The worst part was figuring out how to remove the OEM stands.... (why do manufacturers hide screws under rubber covers that are impossible to remove without damage? HP was worse than the much-cheaper Acer...)
Customer Rating: Summary: Nice stand. Works Well. Great Customer Support Comment: I love this stand. It easily accomodates my 22" Samsung LCD monitor and when I had a problem with the screw holes misaligned on the base, instead of shipping me a new base, the company shipped me a whole new stand! Great customer service and a great stand all in one!
