The world's favorite western/sci-fi/comedy/action cult hit rides again! Here on 8 discs is the complete series about Brisco (Bruce Campbell), a tough-as-rawhide cowpoke, debonair ladies' man and Harvard-educated smarty-britches who roams from Frisco to Jalisco in pursuit of outlaws who killed his father...and in search of a mysterious orb possessing out-of-this world powers. Hot lead and cool anachronisms await Brisco as he and his sidekicks - including Comet, the intellectual equine who doesn't know he's a horse - fight for justice in the way, way, way-out West. Put your boots in your stirrups, your tongue in your cheek and join the fun. Let's play cowboys and aliens.

Summary: We miss you Briscoe
Comment: One of the funniest tongue-in-cheek series we've ever watched. Unfortunately it only lasted one season -- but that season was 27 episodes. We still laugh today just thinking about some of the happenings and the "history" such as the invention of denim.

Comment:
I bought this series almost 3 years ago. My family still gets a kick out of this series. It was well done, tempered just right and has a great cast of characters. The show was not heavy, and yet had a good guy theme run through the series. My son really loves this show along with Hercules and Jack of Trades. I wish there where more shows like this.

Summary: A Western Classic!
Comment: I wasn't sure what I would think of a SciFi/Western, but Brisco County Jr is one of the best series I have seen. We usually watch a series over a couple of months, and once we started watching this, we couldn't stop and watched all the episodes in 1 week!

If you like Westerns, you will like this series as it is true to the Western genre. And, what is a nice surprise with this series is because of the SciFi twist AND the great plot and action in each episode, if you normally don't like Westerns, you will still like this series.

The main actors/actresses in this series really make it real and engage the audience. This series is good for all ages-12 through 98. Beware, you'll find yourself cheering for Brisco and wondering how he will get himself out of his current Dilemma in every episode!

Summary: Collect All Three Orbs and Rule the World!
Comment: When a time-travelling tyrant who rules/ruled the world - in the future - returns to the 1870's to collect the three Orbs of Power (left on Earth by an alien race!) makes the Big Mistake of murdering Brisco County Sr, he meets his match in the avenging son armed with a law degree from Harvard and his daddy's six-gun.

Everyone I've shared these episodes with has laughed out loud at every one of them and several of the episodes have brought lumps to throats and tears to eyes - not including the tears of laughter!

Anachronisms abound and run the gamut from motorcycle gangs, ride-up windows (@ the Hard Rock Cafe, no less, where Brisco'e Elvis-impersonating sheriff buddy "Aaron" invents 'sun spectacles') and rockets, to one of Brosco's old Harvard professors (Tim Leary!) reciting a roadside eulogy comprised entirely of lyrics from Beatles songs.

Perhaps the weirdest thing of all is that this is a western!

For all the anomalies, this is old time television at its best; a return to the intelligent and kind-hearted gun-toting good guy with loyal friends, a Really Smart horse and a beautiful girlfriend.

I cannot think of any television series I could more highly recommend to anyone of any age for any reason; buy it and enjoy!

Summary: Brisco County,Jr.
Comment: I don't much care for Westerns and like Science Fiction even less. However, the combination of both genres into one finished product called BRISCO COUNTY,JR equals an exciting and amusing good time. I loved this show when it was on TV in 1993-94, and over the years talked about it to many people who had never even heard of it. It was good to see the entire series in one boxed set and at such an affordable price. This is a fun experience, and a couple of episodes right before bed is good medicine.
