Kaffir lime leaf adds an unmistakable, refereshing taste that is essential in many Thai soups & curries. The combination of lemongrass and lime leaf is a fantastic blast of flavor. The leaves have a strong fragrance and flavor that can not really be substituted. To experience the wonderful aroma, sliver the leaves with a knife or scissors and you'll begin to understand just how wonderful this plant is. Kaffir lime leaves grow in doubles. Sizes vary, but the average individual leaf is approx 2" long. Harvesting is done by hand and it's difficult because the branches have long thorns, so they tend to be expensive and not easily found in supermarkets. They freeze very well-just place in a ziplock bag & they'll retain their flavor for months. No need to defrost, just use as normal. Celebrity chef Martin Yan and cooking magazine Bon Appetit recommend buying kaffir lime leaves from ImportFood.com. Martha Stewart's Body & Soul Magazine recommends as a spa treatment.

Comment: I have not ordered this product from this company as yet, but I do have two close friends that have and have been nice enough to share with me. I use these leaves in a curry type sauce I make and the fresh leaves simply are not replaceable. The flavor of these particular leaves was excellent. I, like another reviewer, have frozen a portion of the leaves I mooched from my friends. This works fine. For something different, for a product that delivers authentic taste, I do highly recommend this company as a great source. If you live out in the stix as I do, you really do not have a good source so it is nice to have folks such as these as suppliers.

Comment: The lime leaves were in great shape and have a wonderful flavor. This company is the best. They always have the hard to get supplies that I can't get locally, and they ship them fast, and inexpensively. A+++++++++++

Comment: Seemed like it may have been a good product, but customer service was a nightmare. After multiple email requests to cancel my order to both their Amazon marketplace email and the customer service email on their website, I got no reply, except a notice three days later that my item had shipped. I refused the delivery and after a lot of phone calls finally got a refund.
Hopefully not everyone's experience is like this, but as for me, I don't think I will be doing business with them again soon.
