Summary: Crappy Battery Charge
Comment: I really like this phone system and it's features but i had to give it a 3 because the battery life is absolutely horrible. The phone that i keep on my desk is never used. I can fully charge it, take it off the cradle for one day maybe a day and a half and the charge indicator will go down to 2/3's. So basically it has become one of those phones that has to be constantly left of the charger.
This unit replaced a Panasonic that would hold a charge for days, whether it was being used or not. Sorry but this will be my last Uniden phone.

Comment: In a few words, I rate this device 8 in a scale of 1 to 10 - But I think the base unit should have a built-in protection against power surge and or spykes. Other then this, it is an excelent apparatus. GerryC, NY

Summary: Got one that works
Comment: This is the third set of phones I have bought trying to find one that I could hear on. The others were crap. I won't mention names, but they were not cheap. This one has a built in speaker phone right in the handset and the other pearson on the other end cannot tell you are not talking right into the phone while holding it to your ear. When you do hold it to your ear there is plenty of volume to hear the conversation. I can set it next to me on an end table and carry on a conversation while doing other things at the same time. I recomend this phone to anyone that has ever been put on hold by some company or doctors office and you have to wait forever. Throw out your old phone and buy this one.

Comment: I purchased this phone set with an extra extension. I use it in my office (the main unit) and the extra handsets are in the living room and bedroom. I am not happy with the fact that the headset tends to have issues in placing calls sometimes. I keep getting a message that says "out of range" and I am sitting right next to the main unit. It causes issues in placing calls and since I work from home it is really irritating. The phone is ok, but I am not just thrilled with it.

Comment: I have been in search of a decent cordless phone forever; it seems like all the phones I have purchased in the past get terrible reception. After reading tons of reviews I decided to take a chance on this Uniden phone. I am happy to report this phone's reception is crystal clear! Phone features such as multiple ring tone options and ability to retrieve answering machine messages from handset also work well.
