Crescent Moon Gold 13 Womens all around snowshoe. Crescent Moon was the first to design a shoe specifically for women's smaller, narrower strides. The exaggerated teardrop shape makes hiking much easier than any other shape. The Crescent Moon Gold 13 features TGS decking in the rear and Surlyn (R) decking in the front, gold SPL binding and stainless steel traction. Recommended for women up to 165 lbs in all conditions the Gold 13 is a responsive, performance oriented snowshoe. You'll find the Gold 13 to be incredibly maneuverable and easy to use on your favorite trail.
Since 1997, Crescent Moon has focused on building the best binding on the market. This year's Gold SPL binding is better still with a polymer gel stirrup and toe harness system that adjusts to most size feet with one quick pull. A polycarbonate heel ratcheting buckle secures your heel in place and provides a responsive binding under all conditions. Models in the Gold series feature a TIG welded tear drop shape frame which makes snowshoeing easier and more natural than traditionally shaped snowshoes. All models in the Gold series also have brilliant colored highly protective powder coated frames and a lightweight, abrasive resistant decking that contains no PVC. Except for the Gold 12 (running) all the other Gold models have stainless steel crampons. Additional Details: Three-Claw Traction: The only three claw traction system found on any snowshoe. The unique toe claw gives you added balance, thrust and of course climbing ability; Redundant Design: Six different rivet locations to secure the binding strap to the frame; two of them are directly into the frame; TIG Welding: Frames are aircraft grade aluminum tubing (6063) bent and TIG welded for the strongest, most durable construction possible; Hypolon Straps: The Hypolon straps will not come out of adjustment because it doesn't freeze or expand; TGS is not slippery, it's light, durable, and will never freeze.
