I like the speakers, except for when I received them, it seemed like there was some sort of corrosion on the adapter that plugs into the headphone jack of the iPod. When I plugged it in, the sound was scratchy, like the connection was bad. I scratched off the corrosion with a metal tool, and then they worked. So it won't work for parties or picnics, but if you and a friend are the only ones in the room it works great. It works with anything you can plug headphones into. Requires batteries. It does not charge your ipod and does not come with an adapter. There is a spot available if you already have an adapter. There is an on-off button. There is a volume control. You may also need to adjust your ipod volume control. It's pretty easy. I don't know how some of the other reviewers couldn't figure it out, maybe they never inserted batteries (dah!). I was looking for a small travel size speaker to use with my IPOD for traveling, camping, playing on a boat - where more than one person would enjoy the music background.
