Summary: READ THIS REVIEW - It's The One That Counts !
Comment: I purchased three ultrasonic devices, used all three at once and there was no effect! None! The answer is that ultrasonic does not work. I recommend that you purchase SUPER BARK STOP or any of this type, because this type has both ultrasonic and audible settings. Set it to AUDIBLE, full volume and full sensitivity. You will find that it is easier to train the inconsiderate neighbors than the dog. This will not annoy your inconsiderate neighbors as much as their dog annoys you, but at least you will be able to share the joy!

Summary: Great Dane doesn't hear it
Comment: I think it is working when it is in the house for our little yipper, Shih Tzu, but it seems that the GREAT DANE IS SO LOUD SHE DOESN'T hear it. It has helped some though, our neighbor should be happy. There is a cheap plastic backing that peeled off, luckily I found it as it labels all the little buttons in the control box. Without it we wouldn't know what any of the buttons were for- poor design that the label can peel off so easily.

Summary: Worked for me!
Comment: I have a very talkative and stubborn Yorkie and purchased this device to use inside my home. I can't say that it completely stopped him from barking, but it has drastically reduced the frequency and duration of his barking sessions. Even on silent mode the device sets off a slight high pitched tone when activated that is audible to the human ear. Most folks probably wouldn't notice this, but if you use it inside your home I (something the manufacturer does not recommend) you will probably be able to hear it.

Summary: Good unit, but needed improvement.
Comment: I like the basic design of the Bark Stop Pro as it appears to be effective in stopping the neighbours dogs from barking. Two drawbacks that I have encounted are:
1) Its an obvious device.
2) It does not come with an AC Adaptor or remote control.
To remedy the obvious nature of this device I would recommened to go out to a "Major Home Improvement Store that start with L" and purchase a Bat House with an internal volume greater than 5"x4"x8". Drill a hole for the speaker of the bark stop and hide the Bark Stop inside.
To have more control of when to enable/disable this device and not use batteries, Purchase the AC adaptor from viatec's website. Also purchase an X10 OR RF based Home automation system to turn on and turn off the device. Mount the Bark stop in line of sight of the offending canine, Plug in the AC adaptor into the X10 lamp module and Viola, the peace and quiet you have dreamed of for weeks !
Now I love sitting on my couch and remotely enabling the bark stop and hearing the yappy mut next door yelp after a single bark. Oh the sweet slience. Hope this helps!

Summary: Works well
Comment: Works just like advertised. We have two shelties next door, barking all the time, all day, all night at nothing! Our neighbors are nice folks but they seem to be immune to the barking. I didn't want anything to interfere with the good relationship we have with our neighbors. I can use the device without anyone knowing it. The Super Bark Stop actually is working for the nuisance barking. It's great because if a stranger gets close to the house they still bark. Need to make sure nothing is in front of the device - must have a clear shot.
