You could take your nice silver into the woods, but grandma would be appalled. Better take the Coleman 12-piece Enamel Flatware instead. This utensil kit includes four dishwasher-safe spoons, four knives, and four forks. Enamel and stainless steel construction makes this flatware super durable for outdoor dinner parties and campsite eats. Coleman threw in a carry case for easy transport.

Comment: A friend had these... had to get them so I could stop foraging through a big box of stuff to find that 1 last fork.

Comment: This is CAMPING flatware...great for CAMPING and picnics. I shook the pouch and nothing fell out. However, the set comes in a thick plastic envelope with snaps. Keep the pouch in there for transport to avoid losing any pieces. The gaps that another critic complained about were absent from my sets (bought 2). The pieces are lightweight, so you can bring them backpacking, too. Mine are going into the picnic basket. I suppose I am a little disappointed that I will not be able to use this set when I break out the Lennox for Thanksgiving.

Summary: Very Good Deal
Comment: This is good, basic flatware for the great outdoors. It's not flashy, but it does the job and does it pretty well. My set had no problem with "gaps" in construction. As far as people complaining about the case, I haven't had any problems with pieces coming out during transport. If you do, it's simple enough to simply roll the case tight and put a rubberband around it.
The best features are that this set is reuseable, thus saving on litter, and cheap, thus saving on the wallet.

Comment: The lack of a secure case is an immediate problem. I decided to keep the container it came in so that the flatware does not fall all over my camping gear. They look like they'll do the job though. We'll see next camping trip.
Any ideas for improvising a flap?

Comment: I agree with the statement it would be nice if they had a flap that went over the top of the cookies. I think with that change you could easily take these on a hike/camping trip.
In general there is nothing fantastic about these but then again it is for camping and not formal flatwear. So in the end I got what I wanted something cheap for my camping trips and didn't have to collect or dig through old silverware.
I gave this 3 stars because the packaging could be improved.
