I bought them in hopes that I'd be able to wear them outdoors as well as in, but the soft leather sole is too soft to wear outside. I'm afraid that if I step on glass (very possible in NYC) I might cut my foot. I would recommend them only for indoor use. They make cute and comfy house slippers but woudn't really cut it as bridal shoes. I may wear them at the reception but I'm not too sure. If you have bunions they will definitely show in these. But I think most people wear them as house slippers anyway.
