For steel entry doors. Saw kerf design. Door set wedges into the kerf to provide a compression weather seal on the hinge side, a magnetic seal on the top and latch side. Includes two 82" lengths, one 36" length. No. 01610: Beige No. 01636: Brown

Summary: Works fine and easy installation
Comment: I installed this on our metal outside doors. I replaced the existing magnetic weather stripping which the previous owners cut too short and therefore allowed air infiltration. This weather stripping was simple to install -- took less than a half hour including multiple times trimming a small bit at a time so that it wasn't too short.

A couple of installation tips. The manufacturer recommends using a utility knife to cut it to size. I found that using tin snips gave a nice clean cut through the magnet and vinyl. Also after installation, I was having a gap at the bottom of the door -- door warped, wood trim not straight, whatever. The solution was to just pull out the weather stripping slightly such that it made good contact with the door when it was closed. I still have a weather tight seal because the vinyl section that fits between the jam in the door is long enough to allow the weather stripping to still seal out the air.

It is expensive at $20+ per door. But research at other websites said that this is the best type of weather stripping if you have metal doors. There was a noticable difference after we installed the new weather stripping.

Summary: Easy Install
Comment: These were extremely easy to install and are an exact match to the original weather stripping for my steel entry doors. It took me a total of 10 minutes for each door to remove the old stripping and insert these replacements.
