Summary: Doesn't Even Work!!
Comment: Huge box, unpack, assemble, plug in,
NOTHING! It doesn't even turn ON!
Now I have to pack, haul, and ship back.
I hate when this happens. A lot of hassle
for nothing. I am going to go and buy locally.
I ordered 2 extra bulbs. Now I have to mail them back too
to a different address.

Summary: Grandrich EZ reader lamp #ES-101N
Comment: Very disatisfied with this product. It worked for about 1 week (oI only turned it on 2 times) then it stopped. I ordered a new bulb which will not work in the lamp. I have another Grandrich table lamp that works fine.

Comment: These are excellent reading lamps. My 2 year old lamp burnt out, [not the lamp bulb itself, but the electronics in the lamp base], could not locate parts,so purchased a new lamp from you, + 2 sets of electronic replacement units, just in case they burn out again. Your overnite delivery was a godsend, certainly appreciated it. I am a happy camper otherwise.

Summary: Remember: You're paying for the bulb, not the lamp
Comment: The lamp is really secondary...it's nothing fancy, just pvc pipe really. Although as someone else noted, it's not really ugly, it's just not fancy.
But the bulb REALLY does help. I do a lot of reading and studying, and so far I have not experienced any eye fatigue. I just gave one to my mom as a pre-Christmas gift; she has had some eye problems and reads a lot and does crosswords, and she loved it from the get go.
So my recommendation is that since it's really the bulb you want, buy the cheapest lamp that you can, and I believe that this one is the most reasonably priced.

Summary: Very Functional with Little Form
Comment: This light works out well. As another reviewer noted, it's not very tall, but the flexible head allows for getting light to whatever surface you need, or changing it into indirect lighting. That height would be why I knocked it down from a five-star to a four-star.
It's no beauty, but it doesn't scream it's presence, either.
