Summary: Fantastic magazine on being green!
Comment: With all the devastating news of ecological collapse, "Plenty" magazine is a god-send (or maybe, a gaia-send). It combines great reporting on the issues we face, plus great reporting on the solutions. With each issue, I learn of civic groups, individuals, governments and businesses that are developing natural capitalism, preserving species, conserving energy and restoring ecosystems.
The layout is top-notch. I even enjoy the advertisements in this magazine, as many of them are from companies that advance a "triple bottom line;" that is, concern not only for profits, but also for their effect on their community and the environment as well.
Recently, I was so pleased to see "Plenty" being offered in the check-out lines at Office Depot.
I'm a subscriber to many important environmental journals like E - The Environmental Magazine, Orion and Earth First! - the Radical Environmental Journal. I even created an entire "Listmania!" of "magazines to raise consciousness." "Plenty" is near the top of that list, and will reach people across the political spectrum - from the "Earth First" left, to the "Creation Care" evangelicals.

Other excellent tools for those who want to raise awareness of environmental issues include:
