Customer Rating: Summary: Great confidence builder for my 5-year-old Comment: I recently purchased this "cube" for my 5-year-old daughter after my 7-year-old son started using a swim belt in school. I had noticed how it had increased his confidence in the school pool, so when I decided to get him a swim belt for our pool at home, I decided to try this for my daughter as well.
This past weekend she put it on for the first time, and was doggy paddling around the pool within minutes. Last summer, she would either have a flotation suit on (one of those Aqua School spandex suits with foam in the front and back), or would float around inside an inflatable ring with my wife or me within an arm's reach. This year, with this new belt, she is actually starting to swim instead of just float, and we feel much more comfortable if she gets out of reach. I am thoroughly amazed at how quickly she took to it, and what an instant difference it made in her confidence in the water.
Overall, I would recommend this to anyone that has a small child (our daughter is about 36 pounds) that is ready to take the next step in learning to swim.
