African cocoa beans impart a full bodied toasted cocoa flavor to this chocolate. The 55% cocoa content may be termed bittersweet by some manufacturers, however the careful bean selection, roasting and very fine grinding create an extremely smooth and delicious dark chocolate. The balance of cocoa liquor, sugar, cocoa butter and fine grind create a chocolate that melts quickly in your mouth.

Comment: I like the fact that there is minimal sugar. Of course it would be even better if they used xylitol instead of sugar but then this is the real world. The tasted is excellent and if you like raspberries, they have that version, or, if you prefer they have up to 77% cocoa versions and everything thing in between. The price is right as well.

Comment: For those of you who have sampled what seems now to be the endless array of exotic specialty, homegrown, and overseas import chocolate bars filling our grocery isles, look no further! chocolove 70% dark chocolate is the ultimate chocolate lover's experience...if eating this doesn't give you a 'chocogasm', then you either suffer from ageusia or are lying very still some 6 feet under. in addition to being delicious, subtle, and sublime, the bars are healthy relative to most american-made brands offering all the essential antioxidants and flavanoids. keep in mind that to get the best health benefits from chocolate, it is best to eat dark chocolate with a cocoa content of 70% or more. chocolove offers just that along with the best taste on the market. enjoy! 5 stars without hesitation.

Comment: Delicious dark chocolate - I think it tastes much better than the other 70% strong dark chocolate that I've had from the health stores. And you're getting 12 x 3.2oz bars for this price with free shipping which makes it a great value! Dark chocolate can be a healthy part of your diet in small portions. It has a creamy texture and I have used it (chopped up or grated) as a substitute for chocolate chips in baking and home-made ice cream. According to the package, the Nutrition Facts: serving size 1/3 bar (30g), calories 157, fat cal. 106, Total fat 12g, sat. fat. 7g, cholest. 0mg, sodium 23mg, total carb. 15g, fiber 4g, sugars 8g, protein 3g, Vitamin A 0%, Vitamin C 1%, Calcium 2%, Iron 10% (% based on 2000 calorie diet.)
