Customer Rating: Summary: Great For Muscle Cramps in the Legs Comment: When my personal trainer puts me through new workouts, I still get severe leg cramps when I go to sleep. Hyland's quinine tablets stop the cramps quickly; better than drinking quinine water or taking Rx muscle relaxants. I also get leg cramps if I have anything sweet at night - even if it's fruit. Pop some Hyland's in my mouth, and off to sleep I go.
It also helps with restless legs.
Customer Rating: Summary: Hyland's leg crame quinine pill Comment: The pill only gave me partial relief to leg cramps. I have a kidney problem - perhaps it is not designed to help that ailment.
Customer Rating: Summary: How Much Quinine? Comment: I used to take quinine for extreme leg cramps; 200 - 300 mg served me well. Quinine is a little harder to come by so I tried this. But the packaging is very hazy about how much quinine is actually in the pills. Since the label is unclear and there is no after taste with the pills (quinine is very bitter) I'm confident there is very little quinine in these pills.
I give the product 2 stars because there is some modicum of quinine and it does help a little with the cramps. But only 2 stars because I am frustrated (to say the least) that the description and the labeling are, in my opinion, intentionally misleading.
Customer Rating: Summary: I was glad I could buy it from Amazon Comment: I was getting these locally and then they were gone. I later found out they were pulled from all but homopathic suppliers. They always worked for me I just wish the coated tablets were available. Quinine has been used for many years and I feel that they were only pulled to give the Pharmaceutical companies the edge to require you see a doctor for a perscription and pay $50.00 for them instead of under $10.00. Thank you Amazon.com
