Summary: The "Bright" Spot In My Collection
Comment: To put it quite simply, this is probably my favorite album of all time. Not just my favorite DCB album, but my absolute favorite that I've ever heard or owned. David is incredibly talented and all his music is so well-written, deep and textured they just never get old. I can, and have, listened to DCB for weeks on end at work, in my car, and at home.

Comment: This is a great CD that stirs the Spirit inside me to want to praise Christ as is sung about on this. Joyous praise! And on top of that these guys are more talented than most secular bands.

Summary: Remember... this is a concept album!
Comment: What most people seem to forget is that this is a concept album. Many of the songs relate to the idea of "illuminate" or being "illuminated" (see defn in the CD sleeve). That alone makes it a 5-star collection. But THEN you get the David Crowder at what he does best... solid, creative, and worshipful. Another thing that is significant in the music industry is how well someone can establish a unique identity. Think about it? Is there anyone else out there even close to DCB? Don't think so. Get the album! Get A Collision! Get Remedy! Two more great concept albums.

Comment: If you enjoy listening to Jars of Clay, Third Day, MercyMe, Michael W. Smith, Casting Crowns to name a few Christian musical artists... you will undoubtedly enjoy listening to this album as well. Illuminate is another God inspired intoxicating music album by the David Crowder Band. Do not hesitate to purchase it and while you're at it, check out their Collision album as well. You will not be disappointed! Both of these albums are favorites of mine for drawing closer to Our Lord of Lords, King of Kings.
