Connect your appliances into the Kill A Watt, and assess how efficient they are. A large LCD display counts consumption by the Kilowatt-hour just like utility companies. You can figure out your electrical expenses by the hour, day, week, month, even an entire year. Monitor the quality of your power by displaying Voltage, Line Frequency, and Power Factor

Customer Rating: Summary: Works as advertised Comment: I read the info on line and this product worked as stated. I would like to know how much my larger electric pulling items are using & would like to see a product to handle 220. We did modify our habits and even gave up a couple of items. We have a smaller electric bill now and know the electricity we use are for things we want.
Customer Rating: Summary: Killawatt Review Comment: I think this is a very useful device. After receiving a $775 utility bill, I had to do something to find out where the excess power was going. This device helped me identify which electrical devices were consuming the most power.
I would strongly recommend the purchase and use of the Killawatt.
Customer Rating: Summary: Performs exactly as expected Comment: I was able to plug it in and use it right out of the box. It was simple enough to use I didn't need to refer to documentation. Assuming it is reporting accurate power usage, it is exactly what I wanted.
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent device for the price. Comment: This a great device for tracking electrical power usage. I was surprised that it is able to report current usage above the 15 amp rating. In this condition, it sounds an alarm. You an read the amps being consumed. I was able to read a 17 amp draw. It will get hot and shut down if left too long. If you read the volts and amps, you can calculate the watts. With that you can compute the KWH for a devices slightly over 15 amps.
All of this is not the way to use the device, but it is nice to know that it has an alarm when it is being used at power loads above its rating.
I would like to see a 20 amp version of this device.
I can see how the model with memory would be nice. But this works and does the job. You just have to get your readings before you unplug it.
Cheers,
Al Lococo
Customer Rating: Summary: What a great device! Comment: This device will tell you how many kilowatts it takes to run an appliance. With a few calculations you can see how much a month your electrical appliances are costing you. My shop mini fridge ($4.00) a month, my pool pump at 12 hours a day ($45.00)a month.
This is actually my second kill a watt monitor I burned the first one up on my pool pump which exceeded the recommended amperage.
