Tapped gently with the rubber-tipped mallet, this three-tone chime emits a soothing "voice" that relaxes and reenergizes. Useful for meditation and healing rituals, the chime can be struck in front of the body, then moved from one side of the head to the other for a surround-sound experience. Three polished aluminum rods of different lengths are fastened to a smooth, cherry-finished hardwood base that measures approximately 8 by 3 inches, small enough to keep on a desk or by the bed. Summary: Zenergy Chime - first time chime user
Comment: Good consistent sound, but the right strings holding the chimes wasn't in sync with the left string, and it's slightly off which probably only matters to someone anal-retentive like myself - its a look-thing, not a sound-thing. Sounds great. All in all, glad I bought it. If you're thinking about one, I recommend it.

a group meditation.

Summary: heavenly sound to transition kids from one activity to another
Comment: I am looking forward to using this three tone (do-sol-la) chime to let my students know when to stop one activity and start another (or just listen to my instructions). The tone is beautiful and resonates nearly a minute but can easily be damped. My only concerns are the high pitch (if it hurt my cats' ears, it may hurt some young children's ears too) and the construction of the wooden resonance chamber. It looks like a little classroom misuse could make the system fall apart.
