Durable enough to sustain any weight dog, this lightweight PetSTEP II is perfect for arthritic, older, or overweight pets. Also provides an easy exit, so your pet doesn't jump down onto hard, unforgiving surfaces and risk seriously straining or injuring his joints. Features ribbed, non-slip rubberized coating that's safe for all pets. The convenient design will swing open and close in seconds and includes a universal grip that fits all vehicles and edges. Rust and corrosion-proof, the ramp washes easily with soap and water. Attach the optional leg kit to create a table that's great for tailgating and picnics. 70"L x 17"W x 21/2"D. (Optional leg kit, item #28952).

Customer Rating: Summary: Helpful, but somewhat heavy Comment: The PetStep ramp has a good angle and traction surface for our dog. It's sturdy enough for our 70 pound dog, but I find it slightly heavy and a bit awkward to fold and unfold. Allow for the storage space in your car when not in use.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great for long-term outdoor use! Comment: I searched for any ramp that mentioned it would be good for outdoor use. I could never find one that actually said so. But this one looked sturdy and durable and like it would hold up in the direct sun. I needed a permanent one for my senior dog to get down the back stairs. So far so good and I'm very happy. My boy still will not use it on his own, but if I point he will go up and down the ramp. The funny thing is, now he is running down next to the ramp, using it as a guide and isn't falling like he was. So it has a dual usage! I recommend this great product.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Customer Service Comment: I ordered the ramp in mid February 2008 for my potbelly pigs because I'd just purchased a Dodge Caravan. It took several days for the pigs to get used to the new van and ramp but once they did it sure made life easy.
I work for a pet friendly company and my "3 little pigs" go to work with me each weekday and to the park on the weekends. They ride in the van everyday, so the ramp gets used at least twice a day.
After 5 months of use I thought I heard a crack as my 183 pound pig entered the van. I checked the ramp but didn't see any damage. Over the next few days it started to dip on the right side. I examined it again and found the crack.
I wrote to PetStep asking about it and they wrote back saying not to let my pigs use the ramp and they were sending me a new one right away.
The new one arrived a few minutes ago. I'm so impressed with both their ramp and their customer service that I thought it was time for me to write this review.
I've also posted a video of my pigs using the ramp.

Customer Rating: Summary: Well-made but bulky to store in minivan Comment: Our elderly Rotty-Lab is very large (160 lbs) and arthritic. Getting in and out of our Volvo Wagon, or our even higher Dodge Caravan, was very difficult for her. Nor was it a simple matter to lift her, as you can imagine.
Initially, she would avoid the ramp; if we tried to guide her up it, she would jump off. Our front door has one stone step so we put the ramp here for a few days and she walked up and down it without any problem. We then switched it back to the cars and she used it readily and easily. It is stable, sturdy, has a non-slip surface, and is easy to fold up. We had read the "squashed finger" review and were concerned that would be a problem. In fact, we had no problem like that.
The only negative is that the folded ramp takes up more space than we would like in the Volvo wagon. It is no problem with the Caravan, however. Given the size and weight of our dog, the fact that the folded ramp is bulky is a problem we're willing to live with--particulary to get such a strong well-made ramp.
Customer Rating: Summary: How Do You Get a 120 LB Retriever into a Truck? Comment: The dog was always apprehensive about getting into the truck. I'd try to lift him up while he was trying to jump in and somebody always got whacked. We were going on vacation so we needed something that was easy to use and would support his weight. I was worried that this might be too flimsy but this product worked great. The dog would start up the ramp while I was still trying to set it up. It folded easily and I never got close to pinching my fingers. I read that some people have had an issue with that but I didn't. I highly recommend this product. BTW, the dog is on a diet.
