Summary: Coolest mag on the shelf!
Comment: I discovered this publication by chance at a Borders when I was looking for something to kill time with.
The adds are interesting. There are lots of them. For people who prefer to look at the pictures (like me) this is the publication to have. There are lots of adds, it's a fairly hefty book and is worth the money for the subscription.
As a photographer I find the images interesting, creative and very cutting edge. The adds cover everything from photography to digital manipulation to drawings. I highly recommend this publication!

Summary: Amazon gave publisher wrong address, did not receive
Comment: This is not a rating of the magazine - just a warning to check your Wish List address if you "wish" for magazines.
My son changed his address in his Amazon account when he moved 2 years ago within the same city. Amazon did not use this information to update his address within his Wish List. When I ordered $138 worth of magazines from his wish list last December, Amazon hid the street address "for privacy" - therefore I could not know the magazines would be sent to the wrong address.
In November, I asked my son if he'd like to have these magazines renewed and he said he had never received any!
After I spoke with Amazon, my son now gets a message when he goes to his Wish List that his address doesn't match the one in his account, so it's clear Amazon is now aware of this problem.
The publisher will not redo this subscription for Luerzers, saying the magazines were never returned to them, and Amazon has not responded to my request for a refund.

Summary: Great Photography
Comment: Different people buy this for different reasons. I buy it for the great photography that actually ends up in client's hands. Really good stuff. Even though it is international, much of it is generic and the text is English. Nice large format, printed very well, with line cuts near the binding reminding you that you can cut the pages out and use them for reference. Good for the professional and the hobbyist. Pick up a copy and consider a subscription. Good stuff.

Comment: This is by far my favorite magazine. Most other magazines dealing with graphic design and related fields are mostly ads for printers, paper, stock photography and very little content and maybe a few articles here or there.
luerzers archive is all meat. I get to see the hotest work from around the world. I can always count on luerzers archive for inspiration and to keep me grounded when school tries to throw their biased cookie cutter crap at me.
