Pop some corn, snuggle up on the sofa, and grab the remote control. Whether it's a romantic evening for two, or a family tradition involving children and maybe even the family dog, popcorn is the perfect snack for a night at home watching movies. Since this popper pops with hot air and not oil, you can munch without guilt (or add some melted butter and promise to walk it off the next day).

Customer Rating: Summary: What a Popper! Comment: I lost the cover for my old air popper and popping popcorn was a nightmare. I lost over half each time. This air popper pops nearly 100%. I love it!
Customer Rating: Summary: Does what it is supposed to do Comment: The Presto is a typical air popcorn popper. It works well and is easy to clean. I found that the butter does not always melt entirely, but it's easier to use the microwave anyway. Air-popped popcorn is always a little chewy compared to oil popped or microwaved -- but once you get used to it, it's delicious and low-cal! We use spray Smart Balance or hot sauce. I am very happy with the purchase.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Popcorn Comment: I really love air popped popcorn and I found that Presto is the only company still making an air popper. The great thing is that they make an excellent product. It leaves very few unpopped kernels and doesn't take a lot of watching to make sure the popped corn doesn't spill over. I wish there were separate arrangements for getting the corn into the popper and melting the butter while it is popping. It always takes longer to melt the butter. I'd certainly buy this popper again.
Customer Rating: Summary: Easy, Fast and Healthy Way to Pop Comment: We don't eat popcorn that often but with the chemicals and preservatives in microwave popcorn, we wanted to switch to a popper. This was the kind my mom always used.
It makes popcorn efficiently enough. The popcorn comes out a little dry because of the popping by air but you can add spices or butter if you would like. When starting to pop, the first few kernels may come shooting out but I just hold up the bowl and catch the first ones. Once it gets going, the kernels come out fairly quickly and fall into the bowl without any trouble.
Overall, it is a good popcorn popper for the price.
Customer Rating: Summary: About that no switch thing... Comment: No manufacturer of these things is adding a switch. Would it cost THAT much?
Try a Plug-in Cord switch. It's an electric plug with a switch attached to it; when the switch is at the OFF position, an appliance plugged into it gets no power. Move switch to ON, and the juice flows.
I searched on Amazon for Plug-In Switch and found this listing today:
COOPER WIRING DEVICES INC #BP4404V IVY Plug In Cord Switch
Buy new: $4.19 $3.51
6 Used & new from $2.99
so you can probably order it from Amazon at the same time as your popper, though the price may be different.
I don't have a Presto, mine is a 20-30 year old West Bend Popcorn Pumper WITH on/off switch (why I bought that one, so many years ago). It just feels safer to use a switch as opposed to pulling out the plug. But I will most likely buy a Presto (I trust the brand) and get one of these plug-in switches to use with it.
