Customer Rating: Summary: Buy two if you make a lot of pasta Comment: This is the second Norpro drying rack that I have purchased. When I would make a batch of pasta, I would always roll the dough out first and stretch it across two dowels while I rolled out the rest. That way if it wasn't quite dry enough, it wouldn't stick together and it would dry just a bit more before cutting. Then I would change to the cutter and cut all of the rolled pasta. With only one rack, it meant that I could only put 4 wide strips of pasta on and I was looking for other places to put the rest.
Then I purchased a second rack and I have plenty of room for all of it. This rack is easy to use and easy to store.
Customer Rating: Summary: Finally, easy homemade pasta! Comment: I love to make homemade pasta by the pounds but have never figured out a good way to dry it for storage. This pasta rack can hold more than two pounds of linguini or fettuccini, it doesn't take up much room on the counter workspace and is easy to assemble, take apart and store. I'm glad I bought it and the price can't be beat.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Pasta Drying Rack Comment: This pasta drying rack is simple and very functional. I find its holding capacity equals the yield of an average batch of pasta, enough for about 4-6 servings. I think if I were entertaining and doubling my recipe I could probably squeeze it all on without much trouble. To store the rack, remove the dowels and lay them all together. You will need storage space enough for the base, about 8 inches, and for the dowels, about 18 inches. I store it all in my baking cabinet under my island countertop. If you are like me, maybe you have been hanging your noodles/pasta anywhere you can find a place. ha ha :) - that works okay but it's really great to finally have a rack and for the price you really can't go wrong!
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Drying Rack Comment: I receieved this as a gift back in June. I've used it many times since then and love it! It is so much better than my old drying rack. This one disassembles and stores easily. Also, it doesn't take much counter space which is always a plus!
Customer Rating: Summary: A must Have Comment: If you make your own Pasta, You need the drying Rack. I started out just making the pasta Sheets and laying it out on the counter until I was ready to cut my Pasta, Trust me, This method takes up ALLOT of Space. The NorPro Pasta Rack makes life So much simpler, and takes up allot less space. Make your Pasta and Hang it until you are ready to cut it, Than you can hang your cut sheets to Dry if needed. if you are handy, It still wouldn't pay to build your own due to the price of this one. it's just a Simple Well thought out tool that dosen't require a Second Mortgage on the Home.
