Summary: Absolutely Fabulous!
Comment: This is one of the greatest ethnic musicals ever. I saw the original musical in New York in the 70's, own the record, the video, and the CD. I show the video to my classes and they love it. This is ONE time when everyone is still and attentive.
The music is lively and gripping and invites you to sing along. If you buy the CD, you absolutely must have the DVD or video!

Summary: ipi ntombi - more modern than the orginal but still full of life
Comment: this CD has new songs, and updated and more upbeat songs of the orginal stage show in the early 80's. it is still a lively slice of African music and a tale of love and life.
i would recommend it to anyone
