They also have a great heft, which adds to the pleasure of using them, and are versatile, too. Customer Rating: Summary: Beautiful but weak Comment: We bought 12 of these glasses a year ago. Over this past year, SIX (6) have broken - not having been dropped. Two in the dishwasher, 4 when getting ice out of the freezer. We had cheap WalMart glasses for years and years before this. Finally upgraded, and they just don't have the durability. So sad. There was nothing around it to hit itself on, but either the pressure or something cracked the top of it. So, as much as I love these glasse, I'd recommend handwashing them. Overall great though...
