Summary: Gets the job done!
Comment: I have used these pie weights two times now and have found them to be quite effective. I was a bit apprehensive b/c I had read a review saying that they did not cover a 9 inch pie pan. I have used these weights on two different 9 inch pie pans and have found them to provide good coverage. One pie pan was a glass pyrex 9 inch and the other was a hand made ceramic type. The ceramic pan, although stated to be 9 inch seemed to have a wider footprint, with steeper sides, than the pyrex. I put the rolled out pie dough in my pie pan, covered it with aluminum foil, and then put the pie weights in the foil (as recommended by my Martha Stewart recipe). In both instances, my crust came out evenly baked and flat. A good buy for the money and if you qualify for the free super shipping, even better!

Summary: Very effective
Comment: I use the pie weights when I "blind" bake pie shells before filling them. They do a fine job of keeping the pie dough where it should be while it bakes.

Summary: They work!
Comment: It took me a long time to finally decide to invest in baking weights - and I'm glad I did! It really is so much easier to bake pie crusts!

Summary: disappointing
Comment: I found this product to be overpriced. 108 pie weights are not as many as you would think -- they barely covered a 9" pie dish. Perhaps it was my mistake but I was very disappointed.
