For those who aren't familiar with the term ebleskiver, they are delightful small and spherical pancakes sometimes filled with fruit or nuts, and adored by Scandinavian folk. You can use a basic pancake recipe, or one provided with the pan, and you can get creative with adding other ingredients, powdering with sugar after baking, and so on. In any case, if you want to make ebleskiver, you must have a traditional ebleskiver pan.

Customer Rating: Summary: easy as can be... and fun too Comment: I got this pan for an early Christmas gift and I am so in love with it. It was very easy to use. I used two tooth picks to flip the Aebelskiver and I did not bother to oil / butter the pan between each use.
The mix is easy to make from scratch, so I say go for it. It certainly is a lot cheaper than buying a mix from William Sonoma or some place like that.
Here are the fillings that I have tried thus far: sharp cheddar cheese, mince meat, banana walnut, chocolate chip banana, chocolate chip walnut, blueberry, and plain. Cheese is by far my favorite! Be creative - they are so small that it does not matter if the filling is no good you are not out a lot.
Customer Rating: Summary: real non stick Comment: This pan really makes the work easy. You just apply a little butter on heated pan and use a skewer stick to flip it. That makes the work superb. I love it.
Customer Rating: Summary: I can't stop making Ebelskivers! Comment: I bought a cast iron pan and love it. I never have a problem with sticking because I butter between batches. I've made Ebelskivers for 3 parties and they are always the fastest item to disappear from the buffet table. And I was amazed at how quickly they cook up. Try stuffing them with Nutella - it's fabulous!
Customer Rating: Summary: A new way to make pancakes Comment: Having cooked for my family for many years, I'm always looking for new things to try. An ad from a major kitchen store featured the Danish Aebelskiver iron at a price that was higher than I wanted to pay so I looked on line and found the one I bought. My son was visiting from Japan when I first used it--a simple bisquick recipe was turned into delightful round pancakes filled with blueberries. The pan released these yummy pancakes with a flick of a pair of chopsticks--a great pan at a good price.
Customer Rating: Summary: Love it Comment: We use this atleat once every weekend. Basic pancake mix works fine. It's a little tricky learning to turn the "pancakes" but once you get the hand of it, it's pretty easy. Somehow "pancakes" taste better this way, I think there just fun.
