The steel quality has a major influence on the performance and durability of a pair of scissors. J.A. Henckels research has resulted in the development of the most suitable steel alloys which are produced exclusively for J.A. Henckels Scissors.

Customer Rating: Summary: You will get your money's worth. Comment: I am finally replacing a Henckels kitchen shears I purchased 12 years ago. Let's see if this one will last another 12 years. I use it for cutting chicken breast bones and fresh herbs, while my kids use it to cut their pizzas into smaller slices.
Customer Rating: Summary: Henckels Kitchen Shears Comment: I couldn't believe the low price on this Henckels' kitchen shears. I have used Henckels knives for over 25 years and know that the prices are a bit high. But you pay for the quality of the brand name. These Henckels' shears needed to have the extra-large finger loops. They are easy to take apart and wash -- which is a great thing because of all the salmonella around.
Customer Rating: Summary: Sharp heavy blades =D Comment: So far I am impressed with how well they cut. They fit my big hands fine. I think you have to hand wash these, but I did that with my stainless shears, anyway.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great all around scissors Comment: I just received this scissors, and I am so delighted with it. It cuts everything that I have to work with. I use it in the kitchen, for food, plants, or anything that needs cutting. I have no problem with it cutting the first time, without going over and over to get a slice to cut through (chicken)
Customer Rating: Summary: Good Name, Poor Design Comment: Other than the Henckels warranty I can't really find any feature of these shears that make them suitable for use in the kitchen. Here's what I disliked: Handles are too short in relation to the blade length to generate enough leverage for tougher items. Inexpensive stamped-steel blades require frequent sharpening. Fixed screw doesn't allow blades to come apart for cleaning allowing food and germs to build up in the screw area. Micro-serrations too small to hold slipery items during cutting. Blades won't cut fully to the point for precision cutting / trimming of delicate items. Still haven't found better than my Wurstof 5550 scissors but was looking for something a little more comfortable on the hands.
