Comment: Dont waste your money on this series. I have bought them all without previewing and very disappointed. Low quality and not much too them. There will be plenty to be auctioned off if you simply must have them.

Summary: Johan Paulik Saves The Day In This Horrible Pride Video
Comment: Perhaps I am pickier than most but the quality of this DVD was just horrible. I guess being used to Lucas THX Digital Mastering and DTS sound, I had my hopes up a little too high. It would appear that the video on this DVD had been shot with a consumer video camera, edited on a MJPEG post production system (lossy compression format) put back out to tape, then brought back into the MPEG2 (DVD Format) encoder. There were lines of static, light level changes, picture tearing, etc. Plus the last half of the movie had NO AUDIO!
Please, don't wast your money on this series. I was just reading that George Duroy was putting off DVD production because of low volume DVD sales by Pride Video. I can tell you now that if this is the quality of stuff that is going to be put out, NO ONE IS GOING TO BUY THESE ON DVD. I will now *have* to see the quality before I buy any Bel Ami/Pride/Wolf DVD Production.
There were however some beautiful stills on the disc. Obviously first generation films scans. Nice, but nothing that is not already out on the net.
To some this up in one word, "Yawn".
