Customer Rating: Summary: Fun, but flimsy Comment: This is a great classic game, but the sticks are like uncooked spaghetti noodles--thin and very easily broken. I wouldn't recommend it for little kids. Maybe tweens & up.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not worth the money Comment: This was another toy I remember playing as a kid. I don't think this game was made very well. When you try putting the sticks in, they slide back out. Plus when it is your turn your suppose to turn the tower, it falls over and tried to break apart. I would not recommend this toy to anyone it is made very cheap.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good game, lotsa fun Comment: Others have complained that this version is pretty wobbly and flimsy. I had it when I was a kid too, and to be honest, I can't remember how wobbly and flimsy it was. I recalled it being larger, but I was smaller back then. If you know to be a little careful when inserting the sticks and if you put your hand on top when you're removing a tight stick, you'll have no problem. My kids (ages 4 and 6) have a lot of fun with it, and us parents get into it too.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good game, but not great. Comment: I bought this game as a Christmas gift for my kids, ages 5 and 8, because I was looking for something that they could play with together (with or without parents) that would be suitable for their respective ages and ability levels.
The game is indeed fun and enjoyable for all ages, but is really impossible for them to use without adult assistance. Once the first half of the sticks are inserted into the center piece, the rest are more difficult to place, and easily slip back out of the holes when other sticks are inserted. My kids quickly grew frustrated with the process, which reduced their enjoyment of the game (and the likelihood that they'll play with it often). The pieces of the "tower" come apart too easily, and it tips over if it isn't held at the top while each player pulls the sticks out.
While playing the game is fun and takes only a few minutes (a plus for young kids with short attention spans), setup takes more than twice as long, and fidgety children tend to use that time to play with (and spill) the marbles before they can be poured into the top half. All in all, it's great fun for two or three quick games, but only if young kids have a patient adult to assist them. A game like Connect Four might be better for independent play.
Customer Rating: Summary: Cheap and flimsy...not the game I remembered. Disappointed! Comment: It's too bad, there are so many great, classic games that I remember playing as a kid, BUT the manufacturers have RUINED them make making them cheap and flimsy. This toy used to be made out of hard plastic and was very sturdy. THIS version however is so flimsy making it near impossible to even play. The sticks are flexible and are impossible to fit through the holes, they bend and break, and then you can't use them, so what's the point? Played just a handful of times before it was unusable. Such a shame!
